Practical Theology: The Interaction Between Revelation, Practice, and Context in the Mission of the Church
Abstract
It is well established that practical theology is a discipline that examines how divine revelation intersects with human experience and ecclesial practices to address contemporary challenges. This article aims to explore the interaction between revelation, practice, and context in the Church’s mission, emphasizing the relationship between theological reflection, hermeneutical interpretation, and contextual application. It examines how ethnographic methods and critical reflection contribute to a more relevant and effective ministry. The article argues that practical theology is not merely an academic pursuit but a dynamic and transformative process that integrates divine revelation with the lived experiences of believers, ensuring the ongoing relevance of the Gospel message in today's social context.
